Version 1.0 · effective 15 October 2026
1. Who runs the event
The host runs the event. We do not.
We provide the listing and the booking. The host chooses the venue, sets the price, decides what happens, and is responsible for all of it.
We do not organise, inspect, supervise, attend, insure or guarantee any event listed here. Where an event is paid, your contract is with the host, not with us.
2. Booking
- You must be a member, aged 18 or over.
- A booking is for you. Don’t book on someone else’s behalf without telling the host.
- Some events have limited places. A booking is confirmed when the platform says it is.
- The host may cancel or move an event. We will tell you if they do.
3. Paying, and getting your money back
Where an event is paid, the host takes your payment and the host handles your refund.
- The host’s cancellation terms are in the listing. Read them before you book.
- If the host cancels, you get a full refund. From the host.
- If you cancel, the host’s published terms apply.
- Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees apply to what the host sells you.
If a host won’t refund you when they should, tell us at [email protected]. We can’t take the money from them, but we can remove the listing and remove the host, and we’d want to know.
4. What we pass to the host
When you book, the host receives your name, contact details, and any dietary or accessibility needs you’ve given.
They may only use it to run that event, must keep it secure, and must not add you to a mailing list without your separate consent. If they do, tell us.
We delete booking details 90 days after the event.
5. Recording
- Some events are recorded or streamed. The listing says so before you book.
- If an event is recorded, you may appear in it. If you’d rather not, tell the host before it starts — for an online event, keep your camera off.
- Replays are available for 12 months.
6. In-person events
Read this part properly. It is the one that matters.
6.1 You take part at your own risk
Physical activity carries risk of injury. You decide what you’re fit to do and you stop if something doesn’t feel right.
6.2 Tell the host what they need to know
Before you take part, tell the host about any injury, condition, medication, pregnancy or limitation that could affect your safe participation. You don’t have to explain it in detail. You do have to mention it.
If you’d rather not say, don’t do the activity.
6.3 We are not there
We don’t inspect venues, check equipment, provide first aid or supervise anything. The host does, and the host is insured for it.
6.4 Nothing here is health advice
Events are general wellbeing activities. Nothing at an event is medical, psychological or professional advice. If you have a health concern, see a doctor.
6.5 Getting there and home
Your transport, your parking, your costs. If an event involves alcohol, plan how you’re getting home before you go.
7. Behaviour
Our Community Guidelines apply at events, online and in person. The host may remove anyone behaving badly, and we may close an account.
If anything happens at an event that concerns you — someone’s conduct, a safety issue, anything at all — tell us at [email protected]. We’d rather hear about it.
8. If you’re injured or something goes wrong
Tell the host at the time. Then tell us within a few days at [email protected], even if it seemed minor and even if it’s sorted.
We’re not asking so we can take over. We’re asking because the same thing may be about to happen to someone else.
9. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes any right under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Beyond those rights and to the extent the law permits, we are not liable for anything arising from an event run by a host, including injury, loss, cost, cancellation, or a host’s failure to refund you. Our role is the listing and the booking.
Attendee acknowledgement
You tick this when you book. It is never pre-ticked.
For an in-person event
I confirm that:

- I understand this event is run by the host, not by The WOW Factor
- I take part at my own risk, and I’ll stop if something doesn’t feel right

- I understand this is a general wellbeing activity and not health, medical or professional advice
- I’ve read the host’s cancellation terms in the listing
- My name, contact details and any needs I’ve given will be passed to the host for this event
Nothing here takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
